The Croxton Family: Finding the Ultimate Family Neighborhood
Every couple sets priorities when looking for a new place to call home. Jonathan and Kristen Croxton began their search by evaluating a number of upscale family-oriented neighborhoods. “We explored the option of moving to an older, established area, but we saw that these older homes would require extensive remodels to bring them to the point that we were envisioning for our family home.” explains Jonathan. Finding that the overall costs would ultimately be not much different if they were to start fresh and build their own custom home to their individual needs and tastes, the Croxtons focused their attention to the options in Covenant Hills.
The Family Appeal of Covenant Hills
Ultimately the Croxtons found their ideal setting in Covenant Hills. Above all, they sought the quintessential family neighborhood. They wanted to raise their growing family in an area like the ones they had grown up in; a quiet street where their children could play out front with the other kids on the block without any worries. They knew that the busy area of Capistrano Beach where they were currently living was not going to meet their needs much longer, as their first born was already heading into her toddler years. They sought a safe and secure neighborhood to raise their family, among other families, with room to grow. “We looked at all the comparable communities around and found nothing that could match what Covenant Hill offers.” Jonathan shares.
The Perfect Place
Covenant Hill’s lifestyle benefits far exceeded other communities, offering the ultimate family atmosphere which the Croxtons had made their top priority. Beyond being a guard-gated neighborhood, Covenant Hills’ quite streets with pocket parks, community centers, pools, water park and playgrounds all added up to a great family environment. Jonathan and Kristen knew they had found the right neighborhood and ultimately selected a home site that came with pre-approved plans for a beautiful Spanish style home which they have further customized to their personal preferences. Kristen Croxton shares, “I really enjoyed working an open area kitchen and family room into the floor plan. Our thinking is that’s where all the action will be and we had these rooms designed to maximize the flow to the back yard and pool area.” Framing has just begun on their home which will be completed in the coming year with 6 bedrooms for the Croxtons to fill with additional family members over the next 20 years or more!
