Tis the season to celebrate, and with a series of festive events scheduled for the coming week, no community is more on top of spreading holiday cheer than Ladera Ranch.

So, soak up the spirit with your friends and neighbors and get your holidays off to a very merry start with this program of exciting ceremonies and contests.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, December 3 at 5:00pm
Head on down to the Town Green in Covenant Hills to see the lighting of their 60-foot tree. A Ladera Ranch tradition, the ceremony will feature performances from the Orange County High School of the Arts (OCHSA) Carolers and Ladera Ranch’s own Singers Company. You can feast on cookies, hot chocolate and coffee as you take your family holiday pictures in front of the tree. Also, be sure to bring an unwrapped toy (valued at $10 or more) to support the Spark of Love Campaign in partnership with the local fire station.

Hanukkah at the Ranch
Sunday, December 5 at 4:00pm
Break out your dreidels and Hanukkah gelt and join fellow Ladera Ranch residents during a Menorah Lighting Ceremony and song session for the Festival of Lights.

Neighborhood and Individual Decorating Contests
Monday, December 6th
Ladera Ranch residents can enter the neighborhood and individual home decorating contests and put their Christmas creativity to the test for the holidays. Entry forms, which can be found on LaderaLife, must be filled out by December 6th at 5:00pm. Judging for the neighborhood contest will take place December 11th, and winners will receive gift cards to use towards their September 2011 Block Party. Judging for the individual contest will take place December 12th.
