New Home for Taste of Ladera

Due to event policy changes recently enacted by Ladera Ranch Community Services (LARCS), the seventh annual Taste of Ladera will be held on April 30 and May 1 at a new location.
Previously hosted at Founder’s Park, the two-day food and music event will launch it’s seventh year along horseshoe-shaped Windmill Avenue behind 24 Hour Fitness, according to the O.C. Register.
In addition to offering premium entertainment and eats, the festivities, which draw nearly 20,000 people each year, present an opportunity for local schools, charities and nonprofits to participate and raise funds.
The groups can earn money through ticket sales when supporters purchase tickets with a special online code, they can host game and activity booths, or manage a zone and retain the proceeds like the Ladera Ranch Education Foundation, which organizes a silent auction.
Event organizer Michelle Patterson of Event Complete explains, "We create the structure and they (charities) decide how they will participate."
