Communities across the globe have been taking part in Relay for Life since 1985, and now it’s time for residents of Ladera Ranch to join the world’s largest movement to fight cancer. Beginning at 9am on Saturday, August 28th and continuing all the way through 9am on Sunday, August 29th, participants will traverse the Tesoro High School track in Rancho Santa Margarita for a consecutive 24-hour period—acknowledging the reality that cancer never sleeps. Seven teams of Ladera Ranch families, friends and neighbors have already raised $3,050.000 for the American Cancer Society. These much-needed funds, which can also be contributed online, help spread awareness and save lives from cancer. In addition to raising money for cancer research, Relay for Life participants will be celebrating survivors and remembering loved ones lost to cancer with each step they take. Visit the Relay for Life of Ladera Ranch page for more information on how to get involved.

Before summer comes to an end, take advantage of the gorgeous Orange County weather this weekend and stroll through the Town Green in Covenant Hills at Ladera Ranch. Amidst the new homes for sale in Ladera Ranch lies a charming space which, in addition to hosting some of the communities most exciting events, houses Ladera Ranch’s oldest oak tree and lush rose garden. Created to honor Alice O'Neill (Moiso) Avery, the matriarch of the O'Neill/Moiso Family who developed Ladera Ranch in addition to surrounding south Orange County areas, the garden features plants that have been personally selected by Mrs. Avery. Sit back, relax, and bask in the beauty and sweet scent of lavender plants, lemon trees and, of course, roses.

The music is painstakingly reproduced and combined with the voice, look and essence of Jim Morrison live on stage, and they try to mirror the depth, energy and emotion of The Doors concerts as they were live back in the late 1960's. The Band also utilizes the same musical instruments live as The Doors did over 35 years ago.
